Meet the Pasadena Team Behind Birchbark Roofing Pasadena
We’re a small crew, and we like it that way. Every roof in Pasadena gets the same four or five pairs of boots on it, from the first tear-off shovel to the last magnet pass for nails. Most of us have worked together long enough that we don’t need to talk much on a job site, but we still do. What unites the team is simple: we treat roofs like they’re over our own kitchen tables. You’ll meet everyone who works on your home, and you’ll know their names before they climb the ladder.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Miguel R. – Lead Technician
Miguel has been putting roofs on houses in the San Gabriel Valley for 16 years. He came up doing Spanish tile repairs on 1920s bungalows in Bungalow Heaven and Madison Heights, where the old framing never quite matches the plan. These days he handles the most complicated tear-offs and the fussy flashing details around chimneys and dormers. Miguel holds GAF Master Elite certification and is the person who walks the roof with a homeowner before work starts to point out exactly where water is getting in. Off the clock, he restores a 1968 Chevy C10 in his driveway, one panel at a time.
Dana K. – Senior Installer
Dana has been with Birchbark Roofing Pasadena for nine years, starting as an apprentice and working her way up to running full replacement crews. She’s our CertainTeed trained installer and handles the bulk of our composition shingle and standing seam work. Dana is the one who spots the small things, a nail seated too shallow, a valley cut a half-inch short, before they become warranty calls two winters later. She keeps a printed weather forecast clipped to her tool bag and will move the whole crew’s lunch break around an incoming afternoon marine layer. Her two dogs are named Flashing and Cricket, which tells you everything about where her head is most days.
Patricia N. – Service Coordinator
Patricia is the voice on the phone when you call, and she’s been coordinating roofing schedules in Pasadena for over a decade. She knows which neighborhoods have HOA color approvals that drag on, which permit counters move fastest, and how to sequence a roof replacement around a family’s school drop-off hours. If you call at 9 p.m. on a Friday with water coming through a bedroom ceiling, Patricia picks up and starts working the problem. She’s the one who sends the written price before any work begins and confirms the crew’s names before they arrive. Patricia grew up in Altadena and keeps a running list of the best breakfast spots to recommend while you wait out a tear-off.
Jordan S. – Apprentice
Jordan is two years into learning the trade and is already the crew’s preferred person for flashing fabrication and gutter detail work. He works under Miguel’s supervision and handles the parts of a job that need patience: peeling back old felt, prepping nail patterns, sealing penetrations. Jordan is meticulous about the clean-up side of things, which matters more than most homeowners realize. He’s the person double-checking the magnet sweep and taking the photo of the finished clean-up before the crew rolls out. He’s currently working toward his Owens Corning installer training, and on weekends he hikes the trails above Eaton Canyon with a camera that’s older than he is.
One Standard, Every Job
The crew in Pasadena holds to the same standard you’d find at any Birchbark location. Erik Lindgren owns this branch, but he’s clear that the work we do carries the name of the whole Cedarwell family, which has been roofing since 2000. That means the 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every repair and replacement we perform. If something isn’t right, we make it right, and that guarantee is stamped on every job we hand over. We show up in uniforms, we cover the walkways and the flower beds, and we explain the price in writing before any work starts. The team knows each other’s work well enough to catch a problem before it becomes a callback. That’s the part of roofing that doesn’t show up on an invoice, but it’s the part that keeps a roof dry for 25 years. When you call the Pasadena office at (626) 657-5397, you’ll get Patricia, and when the crew arrives, you’ll know who they are by name. That’s the way Erik has run this location from day one, and it’s not changing. Call us to schedule a free estimate and meet the people who’ll be on your roof.
